FAQ

Straight answers.

What reps and managers ask before they try OpenList.

Ask away. I’ve heard them all.
01

Getting started

What is OpenList?

It brings in your dealership’s used vehicles from its website and fills in Facebook Marketplace’s vehicle form for you. You check each listing and press Publish.

Who is it for?

Car sales reps who post their dealership’s used vehicles on Marketplace, and dealerships that want their whole team posting.

What do I need?

Desktop Chrome, the Facebook account you already post from, and your dealership’s website address. You can sign up on your phone; posting happens in Chrome on a computer.

Do I need my dealership’s OK?

You’re posting your dealership’s vehicles, so check with your manager first.

02

Your Facebook

Is OpenList part of Facebook?

No. OpenList is not affiliated with Facebook or Meta.

Do you need my Facebook login?

No. You post from your own Facebook account in your own Chrome. We never ask for your login and never read your messages.

Does it post for me?

No. It fills in the form. You check the listing, set your location and press Publish. We never press Publish.

Could posting affect my Facebook account?

Facebook sets its own rules for Marketplace, and we can’t promise how it treats any account. OpenList keeps posting close to doing it by hand: your own account and your own Publish click.

03

Your vehicles

Which dealership websites work?

We read your dealership’s public website, so there’s no feed or file to set up. Some websites take longer to bring in, and Pip emails you when your vehicles are in.

How many photos come in?

The first 10 photos for each vehicle, from your dealership’s website. You pick which ones go on the listing.

How fast does the form fill in?

Under 5 seconds after you click Post to Facebook. By hand, the same listing takes about 15 minutes.

What happens when a vehicle sells or its price changes?

We check your website daily. Your Listed page shows “Sold: take it down” or “Price changed”, so you know what to update on Facebook. You make the change on Facebook yourself.

Do my edits change our website?

No. Your edits change that listing only. Your dealership’s website stays as it is.

Plans and billing

Full details on the Pricing page.

How does the free trial work?

7 days on your own inventory, up to 35 vehicles, no card needed. When it ends, choose a plan to keep posting.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Your plan stops renewing, you keep posting until the end of the period you paid for, and then you move back to Free.
